John Landreth leads SPSR’s Dallas office and brings fifteen years of litigation experience to clients throughout Texas. His practice focuses on transportation, commercial transportation, personal injury, and premises liability matters, where he provides defense strategies for insurers and corporate clients across a broad spectrum of claims.

John handles everything from routine casualty matters to high-stakes litigation, emphasizing early resolution wherever possible. His approach centers on swift case assessment, strategic pre-suit negotiations, and cost-effective claim resolution. When litigation becomes necessary, he employs aggressive motion practice and trial preparation to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients.

Licensed to practice in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, John offers clients comprehensive representation in state and federal courts. His familiarity with Texas courts and his experience across the transportation and insurance sectors make him a trusted advocate for businesses navigating liability exposures in the Lone Star State.

Whether negotiating an early settlement in a premises liability case, defending a trucking company in a personal injury suit, or handling pre-litigation claim investigations, John prioritizes practical solutions aligned with client business objectives and risk management goals.

Prior to joining SPSR, John was a partner at Mayer LLP in Dallas, where he built a robust defense practice representing clients in the transportation, insurance, and commercial sectors.

John earned his J.D. from Charlotte School of Law in 2010 and his B.A. in Political Science from Lee University in 2004.
