SPSR Welcomes Dan D. Zhang
[New Orleans, Louisiana] – August 31, 2026 – SPSR is pleased to announce that Dan D. Zhang has joined the firm as an associate, where he will focus his practice on maritime and insurance matters.
Dan will be involved in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
Before joining the firm, Dan served as the law clerk to both Judge Paulette R. Irons and Judge Sheryl Howard at Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
Dan earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 2021, where he was a member of the Sports Law Society. During law school, he served as an investigator at the Orleans Public Defender’s Office, assisting public defender attorneys in streamlining their caseloads. He also clerked for Judge Fredericka H. Wicker at the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
Dan earned his B.S. in Finance from the Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business.
