SPSR Hosts “Night of Giving”

SPS&R partner, Susan F. Clade, recently spearheaded a local committee of women attorneys in co-sponsoring, along with the National Association of Women Lawyers, a “Night of Giving,” benefitting New Orleans’ Crescent House Battered Woman’s Program. Crescent House assists men, women and children in the New Orleans area who are victims of domestic violence. The turnout at the first NOLA “Night of Giving” included many members of the local bar, judges, and judicial candidates. The event garnered thousands of dollars in funds and in-kind donations for the women and children who reside in Crescent House’s safe houses. The “Night of Giving,” held at SPS&R’s newly renovated offices, was co-hosted by SPS&R and a number of other prominent New Orleans law firms. All food and drinks were donated as a result of the efforts of the local New Orleans Committee that assisted in putting on the event.
