Judy Perry Martinez Receives the Florence K. Murray Award
On October 16, Judy Perry Martinez was presented the Florence K. Murray Award by Judge Pam Washington, President of the National Association of Women Judges. The award ceremony was held during the association’s Annual Conference in New Orleans.
The award was instituted by its namesake, the Honorable Florence K. Murray, for presentation to a non-judge who, by example or otherwise, has influenced women to pursue legal careers, opened doors for women attorneys, or advanced opportunities for women within the legal profession.
When presenting the award, NAWJ president, Judge Pam Washington, noted “Judy Perry Martinez exemplifies the professional excellence, principled leadership, and commitment to advancing women celebrated by the Florence K. Murray Award.”
Martinez has championed inclusion, professionalism, and ethical leadership. Her career demonstrates the lasting impact of opening doors, nurturing talent, and helping others succeed. Through her example and encouragement, she continues to strengthen a legal profession where women can thrive, lead, and serve their communities with distinction.
