Steven A. Jacobson has been working in the bankruptcy field for 37 years. He concentrates in the area of commercial litigation and limits his practice to representing creditors.
Steven represents a wide range of creditors in consumer and complex Chapter 11 bankruptcies. He advises his clients on bankruptcy strategy and handles a wide range of adversary litigation in the bankruptcy courts, including defending against fraudulent conveyances. He has represented banks and finance companies with secured creditor claims and represented sureties in disputes over contract funds, among numerous other matters. Steven also has prior experience litigating a variety of civil cases in Louisiana’s federal courts, including insurance coverage disputes, bad faith claims, construction disputes and Title VII employment matters.
