SPSR Welcomes New Associate, Abbey C. Barton

SPSR welcomes Abbey C. Barton to the firm. Abbey practices commercial, casualty, and insurance litigation, as well as trucking and transportation matters. Prior to joining the firm, she was an Assistant Attorney General for the Louisiana Department of Justice, where she handled the defense of medical malpractice claims filed against State-employed physicians. Abbey received her J.D. and a Certificate in Civil Law Studies from Mississippi College School of Law. While there, she served in leadership roles for several campus organizations, including Editor-in-Chief of The Legal Eye, a student news publication, Elections Commissioner for the Student Bar Association, and President of campus ACLU chapter. Abbey earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
