AV RatedMs. Clade, a practicing attorney for the last 30 years, has been involved in various professional, civic and political organizations over her long legal career. She is a past president of the New Orleans Association for Women Attorneys, which since its inception in the 1970's has worked to raise the profile of women attorneys in the legal community and, through fundraisers, sponsorships and the like, support the needs and interests of women and children in the broader community. 

Ms. Clade is a member of a number of professional organizations, including, the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association and the National Association of Women Lawyers. She has served as an adjunct faculty member of Tulane University Law School and has taught business law, ethics and employment law to graduate and undergraduate students at the University of New Orleans since 2001.

Ms. Clade has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal trial and appellate courts. She has authored numerous appellate briefs and writ applications, as well as amicus curiae briefs and petitions for writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court, where she is admitted to practice.  Ms. Clade has also authored and presented numerous papers to a variety of legal, professional, business and civic organizations.  She has written and presented on a myriad of topics, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour law, best practices for employers, worker’s compensation, civil rights and New Orleans politics.

Ms. Clade’s civic interests have long included issues affecting women, children, gays and lesbians (LGBT) and the indigent.  For many years she has provided pro bono services through the New Orleans Pro Bono Project, AIDSlaw and similar organizations to families, individuals, and workers.  She has rendered pro bono legal services as varied as intra-family adoptions, criminal defense, employment discrimination, recovery of wages and benefits, contract negotiations, personal injury and more.
