Mr. Garrity is a partner in the firm’s bankruptcy section. As a commercial litigator with more than 22 years’ experience, his work focuses on business and corporate law with an emphasis on representation of parties in Chapters 7 and 11 cases. A native of New Orleans, he received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 1991, where he played baseball and was a member of the 1991 College World Series Champions.
Mr. Garrity has vast experience in the representation of debtors, creditors, chief restructuring officers, trustees and committees in a variety of industries, to include restaurants, convenience stores, apartment complexes, transportation, engineering, and construction. He has represented parties in all phases of corporate debt restructurings, including negotiating out-of-court workouts and litigating in-court chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Garrity practiced at a Baton Rouge law firm specializing in bankruptcy.
