SHAWN L. HOLAHAN

Ms. Holahan graduated from H. Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1977 and completed Masters course work at the University of New Orleans Graduate School for Biochemistry.  She received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University School of Law in 1986 where she served as a member and coach of the National Moot Court Team and Moot Court board.  She was also a Judicial Clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Lance M. Africk in the Eastern District of Louisiana for five years.  Ms. Holahan also served as an assistant city attorney for New Orleans defending the police department in civil rights and employment-related disputes.

Ms. Holahan is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana and her main areas of practice are civil litigation, employment law, civil rights and insurance defense.

Ms. Holahan is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association and American Bar Association.  She is the President of the Loyola Law Alumni Association and is a Fellow of the Louisiana Bar foundation.  She also serves on several boards, including Reconcile New Orleans, Inc. and the Bright School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
