JEFFREY J. THOMASMr. Thomas graduated from Millersville University (Millersville, PA) with a Bachelors of Science in Education degree in Biology. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School in 2001 with a certificate in environmental law. Before joining the firm, Mr. Thomas clerked with Earthjustice-New Orleans, assisting in National Environmental Policy Act and Clean Air Act litigation. In addition, he assisted the American Bar Association's Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative Program as a researcher and editor. During law school, Mr. Thomas clerked for then Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge's Office of General Counsel focusing on environmental regulatory development. He was a member of the Tulane Law Clinic and litigated a Clean Air Act suit against the U.S. EPA. Also working with a United Nations-sponsored NGO task force, his comparative research on industry environmental reporting requirements was incorporated into a United Nations implementation guide focused on global citizen access to information and public participation in environmental matters. Mr. Thomas also served as an environmental policy analyst in Washington, D.C. providing analysis and conducting community lectures focused primarily on industry information reporting requirements and community "right-to-know" regulations. Mr. Thomas is admitted to practice in all state courts in Louisiana. He is a current member of the ABA's Young Lawyers Division and the New Orleans Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.
