FRANK J. PERAGINE

Mr. Peragine graduated from Lafayette College (B.S., Administrative Engineering, 1949) where he was elected to Tau Beta Pi, and Louisiana State University (J.D. 1954) where he was a finalist in the 1953 National Moot Court competition.

As a graduate engineer, then as a lawyer, Mr. Peragine spent five years in the gas pipeline industry before entering the general practice of law in New Orleans. His legal practice has involved primarily major litigation in the areas of oil and gas contracts and other energy related matters, products liability, and general contract law and maritime matters.

Mr. Peragine currently serves as the Fifth Circuit Chairman of the Appellate Practice Committee of the Section of Litigation of the American Bar Association. He also holds membership in the International Society of Barristers and the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
