DONALD J. BRANNAN

Mr. Brannan received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1962. He is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuits, the United States Court of Claims and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brannan was employed from 1965 to 1992 as an attorney for Amoco Corporation and its various subsidiaries in Louisiana, Colorado, Texas, Illinois and Norway. He served as Vice President and General Counsel of MW Petroleum Corporation, a wholly-owned Amoco subsidiary, and as Chief Counsel for Amoco Norway Oil Company. His experience encompasses a wide range of legal issues involving oil and gas and construction matters, both foreign and domestic, as well as maritime operations, federal royalty issues, insurance questions and general corporate matters.

Mr. Brannan is the author of Division Orders, Eastern Mineral Law Foundation 1987, and has served on the Sub-Committee, Exploration and Production Law of the American Petroleum Institute, and the Insurance Committee of the Construction Industry Institute. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, having served as a Director of the Institute for 1990-1992.
