Simon, Peragine, Smith & Redfearn
has established itself as a law firm with the expertise
and efficiency to represent diverse clients in major commercial
litigation. One of the firm's initial assignments was the representation of nine natural gas pipeline companies in their challenge
to the Louisiana First Use Tax. This representation culminated
in a successful argument before the United States Supreme
Court by one of our founding partners, Frank J. Peragine.
Since that time, the firm has consistently represented
clients in high-stakes commercial litigation. Examples
of our representations include multi-million dollar oil
and gas contract and lease disputes, multi-district litigation,
anti-trust litigation, federal and state securities representations
on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants, and major contract
interpretation disputes. The firm has also developed an
expertise in the defense of class action lawsuits. We have
represented clients in both state and federal court class
actions involving such substantive areas as oil and gas
royalty disputes, environmental and toxic tort actions,
student loan guaranty disputes, and claims on behalf of
pension holders.
The diversity of our practice allows us to represent
clients in large commercial lawsuits in a cost-effective
manner. We assign lawyers with the requisite expertise
to each specific issue of the many that can be involved
in commercial litigation. Our approach allows us to provide
the highest level of lawyering in the most efficient manner
for our clients. |
