He has negotiated and drafted numerous contracts involving virtually every aspect of oil and gas exploration and production operations, both domestic and international, including drilling contracts, service contracts, construction and installation contracts for offshore platforms and pipelines, and the conversion of a 1,200 foot tanker in Singapore for use as a floating production facility offshore the Congo.

His vast experience encompasses the handling of matters relating to royalty valuation issues at the federal and state level, in addition to royalty issues arising from claims and litigation brought by private landowners. Mr. Brannan has prepared countless title opinions on lands throughout South Louisiana for use by oil companies in onshore drilling and production operations and payment of royalties on production.
